For over 15 years The Needlers have been major supporters of The Hyman-Newman Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Roosevelt Hospital, also known as the INN. The INN is part of Continuum Health Partners and attracts patients from across the country and around the world because of its professional and technologically sophisticated procedures.

The Needlers Foundation has done some extensive work with Continuum Health Partners specifically raising Millions of dollars to help build the “Needlers Pediatric Intensive Care Unit” at Roosevelt Hospital. In addition The Needlers Foundation has been a strong supporter of The Child Life Programs at both Roosevelt Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital. These programs cover non medical care for the children such as Child Life Specialists, staffing, toys, entertainment and supplies and are paid for exclusively through donations and grants.

Additional Needlers donations have helped to support the funding of the Pediatric Wing at NYU Medical Center in New York, The Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, and The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. The Needlers Foundation also supports camps for underprivileged children.

"I’m so glad that Jack, Chuck and Mark were able to represent the Needlers at the event held this past Monday afternoon in the Needlers Pediatric ICU at Roosevelt. I’ve attached a picture of them with Sami, the 4-year old patient who is now returning to Ethiopia after 8 surgeries with Drs. Berenstein and Waner. At Jack’s request, I have also attached a before and an after photo of Sami, showing the results of the surgeries."

Best,
